The Head Coach of the Sierra Leone Senior Women’s National Team, Hassan Malik Mansaray, has invited 27 players to commence intensive training ahead of the 2025 WAFU-A Women’s Tournament in Mauritania.
Training will kick off on Wednesday, 7th May 2025, at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Academy Field in Kingtom, Freetown. All players are expected to report by 8:00 a.m. sharp.
This training camp is a key part of the Sierra Queens’ preparations for the regional tournament, scheduled to run from 18th to 31st May in Mauritania. The technical team is aiming to build a well-coordinated and competitive squad to represent Sierra Leone.
The provisional squad comprises four goalkeepers, ten defenders, seven midfielders, and six forwards.
Goalkeepers:
Cecilia Bangura, Fatmata Laura Kamara, Hannah Juana, and Kumba Conteh.
Defenders:
Aminata Mamie Bellon, Kumba Abu, Rashidatu A. Kamara, Juliet Brima, Juliana Mansaray, Ramatu Bangura, Mariatu Kamara, Mabel Gbongay, and Marie Kamara.
Midfielders:
Sarah Bangura, Neneh Mariama Kandeh, Fatmata Foday Kanu, Fatmata Turay, Kadiatu Abdulai Kamara, Jeneba Koroma, and Abibatu Dollar Bangura.
Forwards:
Jariatu Salamatu Kamara, Marie Bockarie Conteh, Marian Jumu, Kumba Zainab Brima, Wuyah Mohai, and Sallay Turay.
The coaching staff hopes to use the training sessions to finalize squad selection and fine-tune tactics before the team departs for Mauritania.
