A classic showdown is on the cards as traditional rivals East End Lions and Mighty Blackpool booked their places in the 2026 Orange FA Cup final, scheduled for 31 May at the Southern Arena in Bo.
Blackpool secured the first ticket to the final after edging past Abacha City in a tense semi-final on Saturday at the Football Academy. The match ended goalless after 90 minutes before Blackpool triumphed in a dramatic penalty shootout.
On Sunday, East End Lions completed the final pairing with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over FC Kallon at the Approved School grounds.
Forward Emmanuel Innocent proved the difference, striking in the closing stages of the first half to send Lions into the final and keep alive their hopes of silverware.
Beyond domestic glory, the stakes are even higher for both clubs, with the eventual winner earning the right to represent Sierra Leone in continental CAF competition next season.
